PLANADVISER magazine: AIF designation most popular among top retirement plan advisers
October 23, 2014According to research from PLANADVISER magazine, the AIF® designation is the only designation held by more than half of top retirement plan advisers.
Of the 125 entries into the 2014 PLANSPONSOR Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year awards, 68% held the AIF mark. PLANADVISER also found that advisers with the most assets under advisement and who have been in the market longest tend to hold more designations.
From this small sample, there appears to be some evidence that advisers who seek to set themselves apart, move up-market or remain relevant in years to come can benefit from additional credentials, particularly those aimed at the retirement market.
